I was raised in Arizona and my family (all 7 of us) would load up in the camper and travel to all the Indian Ruins. As a child I just wanted to go to Disneyland so I felt like this was nothing but a cruel torture tactic by my parents. However, looking back now this is probably where my need to roam first began!
It seems hard to find many things built before 1950 here in Arizona so imagine the surprise when I learned that the Casa Grande Ruins were built sometime around 300 AD. They believe these ruins are one of the largest prehistoric structures ever built in North America.
