Family Fun in & around FLAGSTAFF...

We desperatly needed a break from the heat so we spent Labor Day up North in
Flagstaff, Arizona.
Here's a few fun things your kids might also enjoy.

We spent several hours Mountain Biking on the Flagstaff Urban Trails System. The Urban Trails are easy enough for the whole family. If you stay at Little America you can meet up with the trails behind the hotel.

Ready for a good meal? Check out Pita Jungle, my favorite place to dine in Flagstaff.

End the perfect day with a little stargazing at the Lowell Observatory. Did you know Pluto was discovered here on February 18, 1930?

BEARIZONA

Around Flagstaff...

BEARIZONA: Just opened a few months ago. It's a drive through Bear Park in Williams, Arizona. Just 1/2 hour drive from Flagstaff. My daughter loved it!
Grand Canyon: Need I say more... 1 hour from Flagstaff. Rather then drive take the kids on the Grand Canyon Railway Train from Williams to the Grand Canyon.
Slide Rock State Park: Slide down a natural rock slide and cool off in the creek! 21 miles South of Flagstaff.

Can you believe I have never been to the Grand Canyon yet? You just created a beautiful itinerary for me. Thanks!
